Things I saw on my run
I did a 6.5 mile run this morning in around Central Park. New York fascinates me and running gives you a totally new perspctive on the city. Sure, taking a cab is great and quick but walking/running lets you take in so much more and observe what’s around you.
This city is insanely crazy, weird and beautiful.
In no particular order:
- Paddle Boats (I want to rent one soon—-who’s with me? I won’t tip it. OK, maybe I will.)
- A line for Summer Stage
- Gorgeous people in Sheepshead Meadow sunbathing
- Too many Speedos on men
- Parents who walk too slowly with strollers (come ON!)
- A marriage proposal. (I actually stopped because there was a group of people who were in a circle around them clapping.)
- A girl rollerblade dancing
- A folk singer playing “Losing My Religion” in front of the Lake.
I wish my iPod shuffle had a camera on it. I know there was a ton more.
Um, count me in for the paddle boats. And for sitting OUTSIDE the summerstage. My hearing is just fine, and I would rather be picnicing than line-sitting.
